ABOUT THE LOVE TRIO BOOK SERIES
The Love Trio Book series is a Christian children’s board book set that teaches babies and toddlers that Love isn’t just a feeling; Love is a person - Jesus!
Each book focuses on a specific aspect of God’s Love.
The first book in the Love Trio Book series, I Know Love, invites children to discover what Love is like, that they can know Him and be with Him, even if they can’t see Him.
The second book, Love is Better, helps children understand that Love is greater than anything they can feel, smell, hear, taste, or see.
The third book, We Follow Love, encourages children to do what Love does, like an echo.
Every Love Trio Book ends with a specific Bible verse to highlight the book’s key theme.
As a special feature, the words to the story are also lyrics to a song! You can sing along by buying or streaming “Love – Kids Version” by Jenny Morrison wherever you listen to music.
STORY OF THE BOOKS & SONG
The Love Trio Book series and accompanying song were created by friends who love Jesus, author Ashley Osborne and illustrator Jenny Morrison from Calgary, Alberta.
The idea came to them in 2022 during the early days of one of their “Creative Club” gatherings; These were quality times they set aside to pursue their God-given creative interests together. One day, while discussing the importance of truth in children’s stories, they noted how music and beauty are the perfect companions to meaningful stories. Suddenly they thought, “What if we created our own book? And what if we made a song to go with it?”
Providentially, both Jenny and Ashley had already been songwriting. In 2019, Ashley had written the song “Love” for her wedding as a beautiful declaration over her new marriage. Jenny, one of Ashley’s bridesmaids, helped develop the music, performed it at the wedding, and later recorded it as a keepsake. The lyrics to “Love” became the foundation for a new kids’ version of the song, which ultimately became the storyline for the Love Trio Book series.
The central message at the heart of the series is: Love isn’t just a feeling; Love is a person - Jesus!
